YIBC is first and foremost an on-line crisis chat service, where you can chat 1-on-1 with a trained volunteer from the Vancouver Crisis Centre, where our service is based.
Hustle: Men on the Move
We are an outreach and support program which effectively offers a male/youth specific component to PEERS Vancouver. HUSTLE is designed and implemented by experiential men who see a need for an increase in specific front-line programming / support services for survival male/Trans sex workers. Attention is also given to identifying and supporting street involved youth who may be at risk of exploitation in Vancouver Communities.

Children of the Street Society
Children of the Street Society is a Provincial Society and Federal Charity dedicated to preventing the sexual exploitation of children and youth in British Columbia through education strategies, public awareness initiatives, and family support since 1995.
Prostitutes Empowerment Education and Resource Society
PEERS provides support, resources, and programs specifically for past and current sex workers—any gender—as well as help with housing, training and volunteering opportunities, advocacy and public education around sexual exploitation and the issues of adult sex work.
Victim Services of B.C.
Being a victim or witness to crime, violence or abuse is a role no one is prepared for and not everyone will respond the same way to the same crime. As well, immediate familymembers of crime victims can experience loss and psychological harm.
If it happens to you, it is important that you talk to someone about how the crime or violence has affected you. Help is available.

Access to Media Education Society
AMES is a registered charity (est. 1996) dedicated to using the media arts to support youth-led community development, encourage peer-based expression and education and promote social change.
Purple Thistle
The Thistle is a youth-run community centre for arts and activism.
We are located in East Vancouver and have a couple of hundred regular participants.
We are a free place (both free-of-charge, and we are interested in freedom) where youth can engage with each other and their community. The Centre is a physical space to root ourselves, a place to work together, and a site to learn new ways for radical organizing for social change.
The Power of Hope
In the USA and Canada, we offer programs for youth and adults who want to take an active role in creating a positive future, develop their leadership skills, build stronger communities and have a great time in the process! We have been successfully creating and delivering summer camps and school-year programs since 1996. We are non-religious and our programs are open to all.
The cornerstone of our youth programs is our distinctive, 8-day overnight camp during the summer. At camp, we bring youth together in a 2:1 ratio with a staff of artists, naturalists, self-care specialists, community activists and other adults working for positive change in the world.
Our school-year programs offer youth ways to connect to the Power of Hope via in-school and after-school programs that offer experiential, creative and non-traditional learning opportunities.
Vancouver East Cultural Centre
The IGNITE! Mentorship Program offers a series of one-on-one mentorship opportunities in specific media to youth who want to pursue a career in the arts. This year, we are offering mentorships in Dance, Directing, Play Writing, Songwriting, and Spoken Word.
In each of these areas, promising young artists will be paired with a mentor in their chosen media. The Cultch presents some of the most accomplished artists from across Canada and around the world. The Intensive program is designed to allow emerging artists in the community to access and learn from this incredible pool of talent.
Vancouver Youth Radio
Vancouver Youth Radio (VYR) is a part of the Hastings Street Media Lab Project and is located at The RayCam Cooperative Community Centre in the inner-city of Vancouver Canada.

Drop by and get in on the fun at any of Vancouver’s 24 community centres!
The Vancouver Park Board operates, along with community-based Associations, 24 community centres across the city. These centrally located facilities serve all ages and offer a wide range of resources that focus on recreational, social and cultural pursuits. Programs can include fitness, arts and crafts, culture, dance, swimming, skating, child care and a multitude more. Residents use these centres of activities as meeting places to exchange ideas and meet new friends.

A welcoming place where everyone, all ages, nationalities and abilities can attend, participate, belong, lead and learn through programs, services and community building.
Vancouver Public Space Network
The VPSN is a grassroots collective that engages in advocacy, outreach and education on public space issues in and around Vancouver, British Columbia.
This includes challenging the increase of advertising ‘creep’ in public places, promoting creative, community-friendly urban design, monitoring private security activities in the downtown core, fostering public dialogue and democratic debate, and devising creative ways to re-green the neglected corners, alleys and forgotten spaces of the city.
We also like to devise ways to have fun in public space.

Reel Youth
Reel Youth is a not-for-profit, media empowerment program supporting youth, adults, organizations and businesses to create and distribute engaging films about the issues they care about most.
Reel Youth works with organizations to provide mobile stop motion animation,video production, photography, broadcasting, and film festival programs that create and distribute messages participants most want to share with the world.
The Reel Youth Film Festival is a celebration of short films made by youth
19 years and under. Insightful and entertaining, the touring festival collects films from across Canada, the US and abroad to put together an engaging program
of some of the best youth filmmaking today.

Check Your Head is a youth-driven organization that provides education for young people on the issues such as democracy, corporate power, globalization, climate change and many more issues that matter most to youth and our communities locally and globally. Our work is motivated by the understanding that a healthy, democratic and sustainable future depends on a generation of informed, empowered and active young people.
Get Your Vote On
We are a bunch of young people doing the seemingly impossible –making voting fun/interesting/worth doing for the rest of us.
A team of awesome volunteers are the brains and heart behind Get Your Vote On. For the Federal Election season we will be meeting regularly to plan events, keep you up to date with what is happening in the election, and support other volunteers across the country working on youth voter engagement.

Directions strives to be accessible to all youth, regardless of their circumstances and fosters a culture of respect. Pacific Community Resources is an award winning, accredited, not-for-profit society serving Lower Mainland communities since 1984.

Youth Spot Employment Centre is an offsite program of Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House.
